As a food reviewer of Restaurant World, I had the pleasure of sampling the appetizers at Super Shack, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. I love this place the food is always amazing the staff is super nice but my only issue with this place is it is cold in the building but that is just me. I 100% recommend the catfish
I'm new to this area ... So this place was recommended to me and I wanted to check it out! So I stopped by and my experience was a very good one! I didn't dine in; I just ordered the snack box that came with one piece of fish and fries. The customer service was awesome and the food was just as amazing. It came out quickly; it was very fresh and very good. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good seafood spot in McKinney, TX!
While I didn't eat in, we ordered birria tacos and fried catfish to go. These are easily some of the best birria tacos I've ever had and that's saying a lot considering I'm from California . In fact, they're probably some of the closest to authentic Mexican cuisine I've found while living in DFW. The catfish was good and the fries were VERY good . I would absolutely get the tacos again and highly recommend them .
Update 2024: 5star. I mean it. Get the spicy mussels. Get the oysters. Get the seafood tower. You're all set. Come here. It's BEEN REALLY GOOD FOOD FOR A FEW YEARs -staff is exceptional. Come watch a game-come for happy hour. Sorry not to update sooner. My Hubs and I love it here. Prove me wrong. Old review when they first opened. I'm dying to give you more stars as soon as you correct your service issue. It should not take so long to stand in line to place an order. However, the food is fantastic! McKinney has made it a restaurant like this for a very long time. Please put a smile on your face, speed up the ordering process and you are good to go to deserve the title of super shack!
We stopped in on the fly from a game. Food was good, drinks were tasty. Hubbie liked the tacos
Five star! No complaints!! this is actually on our regular rotation. Definitely go for the fried shrimp, Poboy, onion, rings (they are the o rings to beat!), and shrimp cocktail! My kids also love the! birria!! and it looks like everyone orders the ceviche so there must be some little secret we don't know about as well...
I was out and about and didn't get a chance to eat today so decided to treat myself to lunch! I was in the area and seafood sounded amazing so super shack sounded pretty awesome. It is right off of 75 and a pretty unassuming restaurant. Plenty of options, seafood and not. You order at the bar, get a number and they bring to the table. Decor is rustic seafood shack vibe, complete with painted palm trees. The servers were friendly, and the food came out piping hot and quickly. I opted to do the seafood bowl which had crab, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn and went with the Cajun seasoning for the recommendation of the server. It was served in a large stainless steel bowl, and a plastic bag, full of awesomeness, served with a side of drawn butter for dipping. I certainly couldn't finish it all but thoroughly enjoyed all of it, would definitely recommend this place for some down home, unfussy seafood. I will definitely be back !
This restaurant I situated in Dallas area. I had the catfish and shrimps basket big plate. The fried catfish was crispy outside and moist inside. I will Come back. You have to order and they will serve you at your table.
